These fastness grades represent minimum performance levels and, in practice, the majority of shades will exceed these levels

Fastness levels above are typical values achieved for the majority of GCR shades. Many shades will achieve higher levels than those quoted. However, it is more difficult to achieve these fastness levels for certain shades, e.g. dark blues, bright reds and black. If the application requires higher levels of fastness than those quoted above the customer should check the fastness level before use.

High levels of fastness in categories not listed above, e.g. chlorine bleach, can be produced as a special requirement.
